Don’t Rely On Luck Of The Irish To Get Home Safely From St. Pat’s Celebrations

Northwest Iowa — St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th, is next Thursday, but many people are celebrating both this weekend and next.

Trooper Kevin Krull, of the Iowa State Patrol, reminds you to be sure you don’t leave getting home safely up to the luck of the Irish.

Krull says extra Troopers will on the roads to help keep you safe both weekends.

Trooper Krull says troopers are out to help keep you face, not to squash your fun.

In addition to not driving impaired, Krull has some other advice for drivers for Sat Patrick’s Day, and all year long.

The Iowa State Patrol urges you to enjoy the St. Patrick’s Day festivities, but if your celebration includes alcohol, find a safe way to get home. And they remind you that the time to line up a designated driver is BEFORE the party starts.
