Northwest Iowa — Did you know that if you are elderly or disabled, your income is low, and you own your own house, you could be eligible for a property tax credit that could maybe even pay your whole property tax bill?
We talked with Sioux County Treasurer Randy Jacobsma, and he tells us about it.
He gives us the details.
Jacobsma says the amount you can get varies on a number of factors like your income and how much your house is worth. He tells us you can find the form to apply on their website or contact them for a form to sign up, or if you have any questions. If you live in another county, you can call the treasurer’s office in your county. The Sioux County Treasuer’s website is siouxcounty.org/departments/treasurer/.
