Sheldon, Iowa — Veteran’s Day is November 11th, and KIWA, in cooperation with the Sheldon American Legion Post #145, is celebrating by giving away American flags.
Beginning Wednesday morning (November 9th) flags will be given away throughout the day Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, until twenty of them are given away.
Jeremy Beenken is the Adjutant of Post #145, and he says the Legion was happy to partner with KIWA when approached about this giveaway.
The 3 by 5-foot American flags will be given away throughout the day Wednesday through Friday. To win one of the flags, keep tuned to KIWA-FM, and be the correct caller when we ask for calls. It’s that simple.
