Sheldon, Iowa — The former head of Village Northwest Unlimited in Sheldon passed away Friday, June 24th, at the age of 56, after losing her battle with pancreatic cancer.
Jackie Kibbie began working at the Village in 1984, when she joined the staff as a Senior Counselor in one of the Village’s homes. She served in that capacity until being promoted to Director of Social Services in 1988.
In January, 1999, Kibbie replaced Bob Hoogeveen as the Village’s Chief Executive Officer, following Hoogeveen’s retirement. Kibbie served in that position until leaving the Village in May, 2004.
Kibbie’s funeral is scheduled for Friday morning (July 1st) at 10 am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Emmetsburg.
