Forum Planned In Sheldon On March 4th

Sheldon, Iowa — District 3 State Senator Lynn Evans and District 5 State Representative Zach Dieken will be coming to Sheldon for a forum at the Pizza Ranch in March.

Evans tells KIWA that he has been busy setting up forums in towns throughout the district.

So far, Evans says, he has forms set up in Sheldon, Storm Lake, and Spencer. He is working on getting one set up in Sibley and a couple of other towns in the district.

He and Dieken think it’s important for the voters to get involved by meeting up with them and asking questions or giving concerns so they know what the voters need. When asked if there was a specific topic Evans wanted to speak about he said no.

Dieken said he did have one specific topic he may bring up.

Dieken tells KIWA, in his opinion, why forums are important to hold.

He says he would like to do a lot more forums in the district, but right now he is trying to figure out how to do so while balancing a young family. It is his first year in office, he says, things will get better once he figures it all out.

Evans represents all of Osceola, O’Brien, and Buena Vista counties, and portions of Clay and Cherokee counties. Dieken represents all of Osceola and O’Brien counties as well as about half of Cherokee County and a few townships in Buena Vista County.

The Sheldon Forum will be at noon on March 4th at the Pizza Ranch in Sheldon.
