George Man Faces Drug Charge

George, Iowa — A George man has been arrested on a drug charge.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s office report that one of their deputies arrested 30-year-old Fredrich Ludwig Trei III of George last week. They report the situation started when Trei had been stopped on January 13th, 2015 in George. It was discovered he was in possession of a controlled substance without a proper prescription. A warrant was subsequently issued and Trei was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, a serious misdemeanor.

In other news from the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, they report that a Sioux Falls man was booked into the Lyon County Jail last week.

They report that on Saturday, January 31st, 2015 43-year-old Richard Earl Taylor of Sioux Falls SD, was transported from the Minnehaha County Jail to the Lyon County Jail. Taylor had been arrested in Sioux Falls and it was then discovered that Lyon County had a valid warrant for his arrest. The warrant stems from the allegation that in September of 2014 Taylor had committed a theft in Rock Rapids. Taylor was extradited back to Iowa where he now faces a charge of Theft in the Third Degree, an aggravated misdemeanor.
