Orange City, Iowa — An arraignment date has now been set in the case of a Yankton, SD man facing a number of charges in Sioux County after a traffic stop near Rock Valley.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that they arrested 47-year-old Wilbert Givihan of Yankton, South Dakota in the early hours of Thursday, July 6th, near the intersection of 310th Street and Coolidge Avenue, four miles west of Rock Valley, after a traffic stop.
They say the arrest stemmed from a joint drug investigation between the Sheriff’s Office and the Rock Valley Police Department.
Givihan was charged with a class C felony count of delivery of methamphetamine, as well as possession of methamphetamine, operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, open container of alcohol, driving without a valid driver’s license and no proof of motor vehicle insurance.
At last report, Givihan remained in the Sioux County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond. His arraignment has been scheduled for this coming Monday, July 24th, in Sioux County District Court in Orange City. Judge John D. Ackerman’s order says they will also discuss and set conditions for Givihan’s release from custody at that time, according to court records.
