Granite, Iowa — The annual Granite Threshing Bee is scheduled to kick off Friday night in Granite, Iowa.
The Granite Threshing Bee is held each year by the Granite Threshermen’s Association, Inc, and draws crowds from a large area to take a step back in time and see how things were done in an earlier time.
Doug Vogel of the Granite Threshermen’s Association tells us about this year’s event.
In addition there will be a Tractor Tour, Swap Meet, Model-T and Old Vehicle Get-Together and, of course, an old-fashioned threshing bee.
Food, rough camping and more is available on the grounds, located at Granite, Iowa. From Larchwood, take 140th Street west to Arizona Avenue, then go 1-1/2 miles north.
