Granite, Iowa — It’s the 31st annual Granite Threshing Bee this weekend in tiny Granite, Iowa.
People come from near and far for the annual spectacle of harvesting with the equipment from nearly a hundred years ago. Besides the bee, there are several other things to take in, including a Kids Tractor Drive, Open Stage Music, a tour of the Blood Run area that is hoped will be a state park someday, a vintage parade featuring vintage tractors, cars, garden and pedal tractors, and much more. On Sunday, the Master’s Voice Quartet will sing at 10:30 before the demonstrations get underway.
The Antique Tractor Pull is on Friday, July 17th.
The Threshing Bee features will be Cockshutt Tractors and Implements and Massey-Harris gas engines.
Granite is seven and a half miles west of Larchwood on A18, then go a mile and a half north on Arizona Avenue.
