Ground Broken For Sanford Sheldon Clinic Expansion

Sheldon, Iowa — Ground was officially broken Wednesday morning on a $3.5 million addition to the Sanford Clinic in Sheldon.

Those in attendance braved the cold wind to participate in the event which, according to Sanford officials, has been seven years in the making.

Sheldon City Councilman Pete Hamill spoke to the group on behalf of the City of Sheldon.

Sheldon Chamber & Development Corporation President Trevor Gottula spoke on behalf of the SCDC.

Dr. Josh Crabtree, of Sanford Sioux Falls, talked about the facility expansion.

Dr. Scott Lichty, of Sanford Sheldon, told the group what the addition will mean for Sanford’s patients.

Sheldon Ambassadors President Skip Tanner presented the golden shovel to Sanford Sheldon Senior Director Rick Nordahl, and ground was officially broken for the new facility.
