Hope Haven Benefit Auction Will Be Friday Night

Rock Valley, Iowa — The Hope Haven Benefit Auction should have taken place months ago, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, it was postponed.

According to Hope Haven spokesperson Brooke Lowin, the auction will be this coming Friday night.

(As said, “We’re excited that we’re able to have it this year. We’re having it on Friday, June 26th. We’re holding it in a new location at VIP East. It’s the old Green Acres site in Rock Valley. We have more information on that on our website, but we’re going to encourage everyone to social distance and encourage everyone to wear a mask, but everyone’s presence and support means a lot to us, so we’re excited to have everyone coming out and enjoy this event.”)

We asked Lowin to highlight some of the available items on the auction. She says they’ve got some exciting new things this year.

(As said, “We’ve got a 2019 Buddy Scooter, and we have a Tracker Offroad LX4. We have some great things for your kitchen like Ninja Blender, an Instapot, and an air fryer. We’ve got some vacation packages, fishing trips, and a lot more. You can check out the entire listing at Hopehaven.org as well”)

She says they’ll have hundreds of items on the live auction, and instead of their normal “buy it now” items, those will be on a separate online auction in a couple of weeks.

For those new to the area, Lowin tells us what Hope Haven does.

(As said, “Hope Haven provides services for people with disabilities in the area. Last year we served over 1600 people with disabilities, and that means that we provide housing, we provide job opportunities, and just a variety of different services that enrich the lives of people with disabilities. Coming and supporting the auction supports all of our service programs and everything that we do.”)

She says COVID-19 safety precautions will be in place. Again, find more information at hopehaven.org. The auction is this Friday night and will start at 5:30 p.m.
