Iowa Appeals Court To Hear Oral Arguments In Orange City


Orange City, Iowa — Northwest Iowans will get an opportunity that they don’t get too often in the first week of May.

If you want, you can see the Iowa Court of Appeals in person in Orange City. Court officials tell us the appeals court will hear oral arguments in three cases in the Theora England Wilcox Theatre in the DeWitt Theatre Arts Center at Northwestern College. The theatre building is at 721 Albany Avenue SE, in Orange City. The court will be there on Thursday, May 4, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. The oral arguments are open to the public. There will be time after the arguments for questions unrelated to any pending cases before the court.

The court will hear attorneys argue the cases of State v. Jeremiah Ray Janes, a Dallas County case; In re Marriage of Yvonne Lynn Taylor and Timothy James Taylor, a Dickinson County case; and In re Estate of Delores I. Todd, an Ida County case.
