Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association Announces The 2020 Iowa Rocks Talent Contest

Arnolds Park, Iowa — The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association announced that enrollment starts today for the 2020 Iowa Rocks Talent Contest.

President of the Board of Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association Ralph Kluseman says they are proud to present the 7th annual “Iowa Rocks Talent” competition. This is a statewide competition for Iowa’s young musicians to showcase the music they love and to compete for a grand prize of recording time at a major Iowa recording studio.

Kluseman continues to say that due to concerns about COVID-19, the decision was made to have at least the first round of competition conducted virtually through video submissions on their website.

Plans are subject to change due to COVID-19 developments, but as of Wednesday, the finals would be conducted outdoors, live on stage at Arnolds Park. The exact venue has yet to be determined. The backup up plan would be a virtual final round.

Applicants should go to the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Associations’ website at www.iowarocknroll.com and look for the “Iowa Rocks Talent” on the home page. Within that link is an application form and a place to upload two YouTube video links. The deadline for all applications is 11:59 pm on Sunday, July 26th.

There are two divisions of competition: individual artist or band (2 or more).

Applicants should review the complete rules post on the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll website.
