Primghar, Iowa — O’Brien County Economic Development has received a grant for nearly two hundred thousand dollars to go into a revolving loan pool that gets lent to new business ventures.
O’Brien County Economic Development Director Kiana Johnson tells us about the revolving loan program.
Johnson says they received $400,000 last year when the City of Storm Lake had some unused funds that O’Brien County could use.
She tells us she’s glad they were able to get the grant.
In fact, Johnson says they’ve had a couple more applications, so if everything goes right they may have already found borrowers for the new grant money as well.
