Marching Orabs To Perform In Two States Saturday

Sheldon, Iowa — Another Saturday, another marching band performance……or two. The Sheldon Marching Orabs is one of several area high school marching bands scheduled to perform in Saturday’s Tri-State Band Festival at Luverne, Minnesota. But the Marching Orabs also have the distinction of making an appearance at an event in South Dakota, in addition to Luverne this Saturday.

Cliff St. Clair is the Director of the Marching Orabs, and he says this weekend’s schedule differs from the normal for this particular weekend of the year.

St. Clair says that, despite the fact the Marching Orabs will appear in two states this weekend, they won’t be traveling any more miles than the years they’ve gone to Algona.

He talks about the schedule for Saturday.

At Saturday’s Tri-State Band Festival in Luverne, bands from George-Little Rock, Boyden-Hull, South O’Brien, West Lyon and Sheldon will be taking part.

At the Big Sioux Review Saturday evening in Brandon Valley, South Dakota, along with the Marching Orabs performing at 7:00 pm, other area bands making an appearance will be West Lyon at 7:15, and Sibley-Ocheyedan at 9:00 Saturday night.
