May City, Iowa — A May City man has died as the result of a car versus motorcycle accident near May City on Thursday, August 27, 2015.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 4:20 PM, 30-year-old Timothy Allen Martin of Ocheyedan was westbound on 220th Street, about two miles east of May City in a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. They report that 20-year-old Jose Mauro Castillo Gonzalez of May City was driving a Honda 200R dirt bike southbound on Wilson Avenue.
The report says Castillo Gonzalez came to a stop at the intersection but failed to yield from the stop sign to the Martin vehicle causing Martin to hit the rear tire of the dirt bike.
Castillo Gonzalez was transported to Lakes Regional Hospital by the Melvin Ambulance where he later died.
Martin and two other passengers in the vehicle were not injured.
The Sibley Ambulance Crew also assisted at the scene.
