Meendering: Sheldon Crossroads Pavilion Doing Great After Five Years

Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon’s Crossroads Pavilion Events Center is five years old and the facility continues to become busier and busier.

That’s according to an annual report that the pavilion’s executive director, Katricia Meendering prepared recently. She tells us how 2022 went at the pavilion.

She says for 2023, most of their weekends are already full.

Meendering gives us an overview of how things have been going since the facility opened.

She tells us that the main purpose of the facility was always to get people to town so they can spend money in Sheldon. She says the idea is not for the facility to be a money maker, but at the same time, they don’t want to lose money either. She says they are sustaining right now.

Meendering encourages people to watch for community events being held at the Crossroads Pavilion and to come out and check out the facility — especially if they haven’t had a reason to check it out yet.
