Sheldon, Iowa — Many school districts around Iowa are taking a close look at ways they can make up days they’ve missed this school year due to snow.
Sheldon Community Schools Superintendent Cory Myer says no final decisions have been made about making up days in this district.
Myer says a discussion on make-up days will probably be held during next week’s regular monthly meeting of the Sheldon School Board.
He says the change to requiring student contact hours instead of days has worked in the school’s favor.
Myer says some schools have a week-long Spring Break that could be used to make up snow days, but Sheldon isn’t in that position.
Myer made his comments during Tuesday’s KIWA Morning Show.
