NCC Offering Coding, More For Kids

Sheldon, Iowa — An educational institution in Sheldon is doing what it always does. Teaching. But in this case, they’re teaching much younger students than they usually do.

Northwest Iowa Community College is hosting free computer coding classes for grade-school kids. (For us old people, that’s what they used to call computer programming.) Megan Dieken with NCC tells us they did this last year, and it’s back by popular demand.

But, she says this year they’re changing it up a little, and it will be more than just coding.

She tells us why the college is hosting these sessions for elementary kids.

She says transportation is provided from East Elementary to NCC for Sheldon students, but all students are welcome. If you want to sign up, there are forms at East Elementary, you can email Dieken at mdieken@nwicc.edu or call 712-324-5061, extension 308.
