O’Brien County, Iowa — The O’Brien County Board of Supervisors recently approved the creation of a new County Emergency Medical Services Advisory Committee. The new committee will pick up where the former EMS Task Force left off in finding solutions to the challenges facing the County’s EMS services.
Jared Johnson is O’Brien County’s Emergency Management Coordinator, and he tells us about the goals of the new EMS Advisory Committee.
Johnson talks about the make-up of the new committee.
With the dissolution of the Archer Ambulance Team, the new committee will talk about EMS system development, and ways to strengthen the remaining EMS services in O’Brien County.
Johnson says the first meeting of the new O’Brien County EMS Advisory Committee will be held in early March.
Johnson says the EMS Advisory Committee meetings will be held in the 1st Floor Assembly Room of the O’Brien County Courthouse in Primghar, and will be open to the public.
