New Residence Hall At NCC Taking Shape

Sheldon, Iowa — The fifth residence hall at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon is starting to take shape.

NCC’s Associate Dean of Students/Registrar Beth Sibenaller-Woodall gives us a little background on the “Sioux Hall” project.

She gives us a few details.

The residence halls at NCC are named after the counties that NCC serves: Lyon, Osceola, O’Brien, Cherokee, and now Sioux. She says Sioux Hall will have a unique feature.

While the majority of NCC students are still commuters or high school students that dual-enroll, Sibenaller-Woodall says the new residence hall will mean there will be over 220 beds at NCC. She says students have moved in for the fall term and NCC’s on-campus housing is currently at 90 percent capacity.
