Sioux Center, Iowa — The new high school in Sioux Center is basically finished and people will be able to take a look around inside the building at an upcoming event.
Sioux Center Community School District Superintendent Gary McEldowny says it’s been a busy summer.
He says they’re expecting a large crowd.
McEldowny tells us the big thing that they are excited about is the fact that using the new building will create more space at all grade levels in the school system.
He tells us some neat aspects of the new high school building.
He says the goal is for people to feel very connected with each other. “Together,” and “flexible” are the main buzzwords about the new facility, says McEldowny. Again, the open house will be this Thursday, August 12th from 11 a.m to 8 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a dedication at 1 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.
