O’Brien County, Iowa — One of the first flowers of spring, the daffodil is the symbol of hope. O’Brien County Relay for Life is holding their annual Daffodil Sale, with proceeds going to Relay for Life, which will be held in Sheldon on Tuesday June 9th.
You’ll be able to purchase a bunch of daffodils for a $10.00 donation, a bunch in a vase for a $15.00 donation, a 4-inch potted daffodil for a $10.00 donation, or a new item they’re offering this year a 4-inch potted hyacinth for a $10.00 donation.
Daffodil orders will be accepted through February 20th, and you can order by calling Cindy Runger at 712-541-7122, Loretta Vander Linden at 712-324-2273, or by contacting Hair Headquarters, Impressions Salon, or by stopping at the Sheldon Public Library.
Daffodils will be available for pickup on Tuesday, March 17th from 1:00 P.M. – 4:30 P.M. at the Sheldon Public Library, which is a change of location from previous years.
By giving daffodils to friends, family members, and cancer patients, you are giving hope because together, we are helping people stay well, helping people get well, finding cures, and fighting back.
