Sheldon, Iowa — The 2017 Sheldon Community High School Homecoming Queen and King candidates have been announced.
Candidates for Sheldon Homecoming Queen include: Nicole Johnson, the daughter of Jason and Lisa Johnson; Kacy Kamphoff, the daughter of Denny and Sandy Kamphoff; Katie Wagner, the daughter of Jeff and Myrna Wagner; Paige Young, the daughter of Brett and Betsy Young; and Maddie Zoelle, the daughter of Tony and Sara Zoelle.
Orab Homecoming King candidates for 2017 are: Kyle Boerhave, the son of Steve and Renea Boerhave; Dawson Jacobsma, the son of Kory and Krissa Jacobsma; Austin Kavanagh, the son of Greg and Julie Kavanagh; Jaden Kleinhesselink, the son of Kevin and Staci Kleinhesselink; and Hunter Lang, the son of Chad and Sara Lang.
The candidates will all be riding in the Celebration Days Parade next Monday afternoon. The King and Queen will be crowned on Tuesday, September 26th, at 7:30 pm in the Sheldon High School Gym. Sheldon’s Homecoming football game will be played Friday night, September 29th at Orab Field against Estherville-Lincoln Central.
