Orange City Tulip Festival Still On — For Now

Orange City, Iowa — While fellow Iowa dutch community Pella has canceled their 2020 “Tulip Time,” the 2020 Orange City Tulip Festival is still on — for now.

The Orange City Tulip Festival Steering Committee tells us they met recently to discuss plans for the 80th Orange City Tulip Festival. ⁣They say they continue to closely monitor all local, state and federal guidelines regarding COVID-19.⁣

According to a statement from the committee, at this time, “Given the rapidly changing nature of this situation, no decisions have been made regarding the 80th festival. At this time, the festival is still scheduled for May 14, 15 and 16, and we are committed to keeping you informed as time passes.”

Committee members say the safety of visitors and community members is of utmost importance, and they say they take this situation seriously. ⁣

They also tell us they care deeply about the festival, its rich history and the joy it brings to thousands each year. ⁣For now, the committee says they ask that you join them in working to spread hope, just as the festival has for many years. ⁣

They say they will also post updates on their social media pages and website, at octulipfestival.com.
