Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Planning and Zoning Commission will meet Thursday March 12th to begin discussion of the City’s comprehensive Land use update. The current plan, which has not been updated for many years, will be studied to see areas where actual use has followed the plan. They will look at changes needed to fit the current situations and then look ahead to zoning needs for the future.
City Manager Scott Wynja tells KIWA that the commission will probably meet several times on this topic before they will be ready to present their recommendations to the City Council.
Thursday’s Planning and Zoning Commission meeting will begin at 4:30 in council chambers located in the upper level of the Sheldon Community Services Center.
