Pair Of Sheldon High School Students To Receive Iowa FFA Degrees

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon FFA Chapter has two members who will be receiving their Iowa FFA Degree on Tuesday, April 21 at the Iowa FFA State Convention at Iowa State University in Ames.

The members who will be receiving their Iowa FFA Degree are Peter Hamill and Samantha Noteboom. Noteboom is the current Sheldon FFA Chapter President.

To obtain this degree, Noteboom and Hamill needed to have participated in various FFA speaking and leadership events, completed 25 hours of Unpaid Community Service, Earned or invested $1,500 through their SAE project or worked at least 375 hours outside of class time, serve as an officer, and have a satisfactory scholastic record.

Hamill’s SAE Project involved working at Vollink Trucking and at Sheldon Grain. His responsibilities included cleaning trucks at Vollink Trucking and pouring cement pads for grain bins at Sheldon Grain.

Noteboom’s SAE Project involved working on her family farm. Her responsibilities  included feeding cows, pulling calves, weaning calves, breaking calves, and selling calves. 

Sheldon FFA congratulates Noteboom and Hamill on their hard work and thanks them for their dedication to the Sheldon FFA.
