Pie-In-The-Face Fundraiser Held In Orange City

Orange City, Iowa – A fundraiser for a 10-year-old Orange City boy who suffered a stroke in late March brought people together with pie Thursday afternoon, just not to eat.

Emmett Kiel suffered a pontine stroke on March 28th and is now on the road to recovery.

For a donation, attendees could throw pies at Northwestern College faculty and staff, Orange City Christian School faculty, and area pastors.

Northwestern College’s Student Government Association President Lauren Green says she put the fundraiser together with Northwestern’s help. She tells us why she did it.

If you were unable to attend, Lauren explains how you can still donate to help Emmett.
