Primghar, Iowa — Poultry shows have returned to the county fairs in Iowa.
Sarah Fiddelke, the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach O’Brien County Youth Coordinator says that a moratorium was placed on poultry shows at county fairs in Iowa in 2015.
She says, however that just because they couldn’t show live poultry didn’t mean there was no poultry activity at the fair last year.
But Fiddelke says the 4H members who show poultry are glad that they can show the birds again this year.
The O’Brien County Fair is Saturday, July 23rd through Thursday the 28th. Fiddelke says the poultry show will be on Monday, July 25th.
