Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon optometrist accused of assault has a court date this Monday, April 13th, according to court records.
According to the Sheldon Police Department, 68-year-old Dr. Allen Jones is charged with Aggravated Assault, a Serious Misdemeanor, in connection with an incident police say happened at a Sheldon business in December.
A pre-trial conference is set for Monday, April 13, 2015.
According to authorities, a no-contact order was issued against Jones in connection with the incident.
Jones’ written plea was taken at an arraignment on Thursday, February 26th. His trial is scheduled to start on Tuesday, April 28, 2015.
