Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon Celebration Days 2017 is just a week away, with events scheduled for Thursday, August 31st, and continuing through Monday, September 4th.
Sheldon Chamber & Development Corporation Chamber Executive Shanelle Matus says final preparations for Celebration Days are being completed by many different entities.
Matus says that, while each entity takes care of their own preparation, she serves as something of a circus-style ringmaster, pulling everything together.
With the start of Celebration Days just a week away, Matus says they can always use more volunteers.
Sheldon Celebration Days kicks off Thursday, August 31st with the Jay Shelp Community Theatre production of See How The Run, and continues with a variety of events each day throughout the weekend, with the big Celebration Days Parade Monday afternoon at 2:00, with activities for every member of the family in between.
