Low pressure southeast of this area will move eastward today. Behind this low, widespread showers and a few thunderstorms will linger over a good portion of northwest Iowa and the southeast sections of southwest Minnesota through the day. Additional rain amounts through the day today will vary from a quarter inch to three quarters of an inch in these locations, however areas near Storm Lake may receive closer to an inch of rainfall. Now heading westward, the rain chances decrease, as well as ending earlier in the day. Rain amounts will also be much lighter. Highs today will only be in the upper 60s to mid 70s. Better weather will follow today, with dry days on Tuesday and Wednesday under mild temperatures.
