Resignations And Contract Issuance Highlight School Board Agenda

Sheldon-Schools-logoSheldon, Iowa — When the Sheldon Community Schools Board of Education holds their Regular Monthly Meeting Wednesday evening they’ll be dealing with several employment resignations, seven open enrollment applications and contracts for two employment positions in the District.

In addition, the Board will receive updates from Superintendent Robin Spears on the East Elementary Renovation-Construction Project, and the status of the 2015-2016 District Calendar.  The starting date for the school year has been in limbo for the past several weeks, ever since an announcement by the State of Iowa, that the state’s schools would have to comply with the September start date laid out in state law.

The Board is also expected to approve a group of Open Enrollment Applications, authorize the issuance of teacher and coaching contracts, and discuss the future purchase of copy machines for the District.

Wednesday’s meeting begins at 6:00 pm in the Sheldon Community High School Library.
