Sheldon, Iowa — The ribbon was cut Friday morning on the latest residence hall at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon.
Osceola Hall is the fourth residence hall to open on the NCC Campus, and local businesspeople were on hand Friday to cut the ribbon. Sheldon Chamber & Development Corporation President Kevin Cain told the assembled group that Sheldon is very fortunate to have NCC as part of the community.
Sheldon City Manager Sean Hutchison offered his congratulations to NCC on the opening of the new residence hall.
Randy Kruse spoke on behalf of the Sheldon Ambassadors, and presented NCC President Dr. Alethea Stubbe with a plaque honoring the ribbon cutting.
Dr. Stubbe said she was excited for the addition of Osceola Hall, and anticipates a Sioux Hall being added in the near future.
Osceola Hall is located on the southeastern part of the NCC campus, southwest of the Lifelong Learning and Recreation Center.
