Sheldon, Iowa — RISE Ministries, the organization behind the Christian music festival RiseFest, continues to add to the 10-year anniversary edition of the festival on Father’s Day Weekend.
President and Founder of RISE Ministries, Rob Roozeboom tells us about the newest addition to the lineup.
Roozeboom says that by adding northwest Iowa fan favorite Mark Schultz, they feel this is one of the biggest lineups they’ve been able to host at RiseFest. He says that it means that better entertainment can start earlier on Saturday after an already packed Friday night. Roozeboom says that Schultz’s storytelling and well-known music are great for festival goers.
Roozeboom says they’re in the process of scheduling all the artists.
Seminars, speakers, and a Kids Zone are also available. Roozeboom tells us about the current ticket special.
Eventually, tickets will be available at Christian book stores in the area, but they’re available now online. You can also sign up for camping spots online now. Roozeboom says that volunteer sign up has not started yet, but that will happen soon. If you volunteer four hours, you get a free ticket for both days and a free t-shirt.
Again, RiseFest will be Father’s Day Weekend, June 19th and 20th.

More information about Mark Schultz and RiseFest from RISE Ministries:
Schultz’s just-completed CD is simply titled, “HYMNS.” Say the word, “Hymn,” and a stained-glass sanctuary of wooden pews will most likely come to mind. But sing a Hymn, and whatever your state of mind, it will be melodically transformed into a personal sanctuary of serenity. That’s the power of music. Noting the results of these timeless compositions, platinum recording artist Mark Schultz selected eleven of the most inspiring, and set off to re-imagine them for another fresh century of listeners.
With a musical finesse that’s garnered multiple Dove nomination and awards, Mark has fashioned a collection that introduces today’s generation to the oldest of standards –while at the same time honoring today’s elders with a Schultz-twist on their most fondly remembered classics. Teaming up with producers Craig Swift and Chris Bevins, Mark has enhanced the timeless quality of each composer’s original hymn, by both rephrasing their insightful words and melodies – and on some tracks – even penning additional verses of his own.
