RiseFest Receives Donation Of Trees For RiseFest Grounds

Sheldon, Iowa — Visitors to RiseFest 2022, the Christian music festival that takes place in Sheldon each June, will notice the addition of more than thirty trees on the RiseFest grounds.

Rise Ministries founder and president, Rob Roozeboom, says there has been a two-year tree project for pine trees to be planted on the north end of the RiseFest grounds, but that project grew this spring with the donation of several crab trees.

Roozeboom says he was approached earlier this spring by Art Van Bruggen about someone who wanted to donate trees to RiseFest. Roozeboom says that Rise held a meeting to decide where to put the trees that had been offered, and it was decided that they had a spot and would gratefully accept the donated trees.

The crab trees were a gift from Jeff Granstra, and Roozeboom says they’re being placed on the south section of the RiseFest grounds, acting as a barrier between the camping and parking areas.

With the gift of the crab trees, along with the pine tree project, the RiseFest grounds are now home to around thirty new, donated trees.

Roozeboom says Rise is extremely thankful for the generous gift of these trees.
