Rock Valley, Iowa — A Rock Valley teacher has received a grant for teaching about drones.
We talked to Mr. Micah Weber, who is the High School Agriculture Education Instructor at Rock Valley Schools. He tells us more.
He says the grant was put together by the Iowa Governor’s STEM (that’s Science, Technology Engineering, and Math) Council. He tells us what information they included in the grant application.
He tells us drones are already a big part of agribusiness in the Rock Valley area and he thinks the grant and the kit will help him prepare students for careers in those areas.
According to Weber, drones are becoming more and more a part of daily life, even in agriculture.
