Everly, Iowa — A Sanborn man was arrested after a traffic stop in Clay County.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office reports that 49-year-old Douglas Straight of Sanborn was arrested just after midnight early on Saturday, just into Clay County on Highway 18.
A Clay County Deputy stopped Straight on a suspected traffic violation. After investigating further, the deputy found Straight had a suspended drivers license, and after searching the vehicle, a methamphetamine pipe was found. Straight was arrested and taken to the Clay County Jail and held on a $300 cash or surety bond.
Straight was charged with Driving Under Suspension, No Insurance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, all Simple Misdemeanors.
