Sanford Sheldon Honored For Dedication To Stroke Care

Sheldon, Iowa — The local medical center has been honored for its level of stroke care.

Sanford Sheldon Medical Center officials tell us they have been recognized by the American Heart Association Iowa for their dedication to improving care for stroke patients through the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline Stroke Post-Acute Care initiative.

We’re told Sanford Sheldon is one of 24 facilities across the state of Iowa that has been recognized for their commitment to this initiative.

Rick Nordahl, senior director of Sanford Sheldon tells us, “We are honored to be recognized as a leader in high-quality, post-stroke care by the American Heart Association Iowa. This recognition reaffirms Sanford Health’s leadership in rural health care by providing the expert care that patients need, close to home.”
