Sheldon, Iowa — How would you or your kids like your pizza delivered to your house in an ambulance with all the lights flashing? That opportunity is yours if you live in Sheldon. It’s part of a fundraiser this Wednesday and Thursday nights, November 2nd and 3rd, 2022.
The Sheldon Community Ambulance Team, known by the acronym “SCAT” in Sheldon will deliver your order those nights as part of a fundraiser. SCAT Paramedic,
Director, EMS Coordinator, and Training Officer Krysten Haan tells us about it.
Your order doesn’t have to be pizza — whatever Pizza Ranch normally delivers is available to you. She says just place your order the normal way via phone or web.
Haan says 100 percent of delivery tips, 10 percent of delivery sales and the $3 delivery fee will all go to SCAT. She tells us it’s mainly about fun and the fundraiser, but there’s a hidden benefit to SCAT personnel as well, says Haan.
