Sheldon, Iowa — Last week we told you that Allison Cooke had resigned her position as Chamber Director with the Sheldon Chamber and Development Corporation.
Cooke says she’s pursuing an opportunity with Melissa Remme’s State Farm Agency in Sheldon.
But that leaves a vacancy at the SCDC, and Community Development Director Curt Strouth says he and the SCDC board of directors are trying to strike the right balance between taking enough time to find the right person for the job and filling the position in a timely manner.
He says while they have no specific deadline, they’d like to have someone in place in a month or two, and they’d sure like to have someone in place before six months have elapsed.
Strouth says they have advertised the position locally, but they’ve also listed the position with a chamber organization that helps distribute this type of job opening.
