Schlumbohm Sentenced To 10 Years For Sex Abuse

Orange City, Iowa — A Rock Valley man has been sentenced to prison on sex abuse charges.

According to the Sioux County Attorney’s Office, 71-year old Lloyd Schlumbohm pled Guilty to one count of Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree Monday.

The case dates back to January of this year, when the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a sexual assault that allegedly took place approximately six years earlier in Sioux County. Authorities say deputies interviewed Schlumbohm, who reportedly admitted he engaged in a sexual act with a child. Authorities say further investigation revealed that Schlumbohm had allegedly committed multiple sexual acts with that child.

Sioux County authorities report that Schlumbohm was sentenced today (Monday) following his guilty plea, to 10-years in prison. Authorities say that, following his release, Schlumbohm will be required to register as a sex offender, and be supervised as if on parole, for the remainder of his life.
