Fishing is widely recognized as a therapeutic tool for challenges such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD, according to Stephanie Pohar, VP of Marketing & Fund Development at Seasons Center. She says they encourage families to come out, enjoy the outdoors together, and create positive memories while connecting with one another and the community.
The event is funded through the SAMHSA Family Support Services program at Seasons and focuses on fun, learning, and family connection while promoting the mental health benefits of spending time outdoors and engaging in recreational activities together.
Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend.
