Rock Rapids, Iowa — Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley will be in two of our four northwest Iowa counties this Wednesday.
Grassley is to hold the town meetings as part of his annual 99 county meetings.
Grassley says, “You can’t have representative government without dialogue between elected officials and the people we represent. I appreciate the opportunity to hold town meetings, answer questions, and take comments. My annual 99 county meetings are one way I regularly keep in touch with Iowans to better represent them at the policymaking tables in Washington.”
The first meeting will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m at the Foster Community Center on First Avenue in Rock Rapids.
The second meeting will be in Sibley. The Senator will hold a question and answer session with members of the Rotary and Kiwanis clubs and the Sibley Chamber. It will be from 11:00 a.m. to noon at the Sibley Pizza Ranch.
Grassley says this is his 42nd year of holding meetings in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties. He says he has held at least one meeting in every county, every year since he was first elected to serve in the U.S. Senate. According to Grassley, he takes and answers questions on any subject raised, and Iowans set the agenda.
