Spirit Lake, Iowa — Middle and high school choirs from a three-state area will be in Spirit Lake this weekend for the Shake the Lakes Choir Competition.
The event, which will be held at the Sami Bedell Performing Arts Center in Spirit Lake will feature six middle school choirs, including Central Lyon’s Show Choir, along with a choir from Sioux Center Middle School. Middle school performances are Friday night.
In addition, Jazz Choirs from Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, South O’Brien, West Sioux, Sibley-Ocheyedan Central Lyon and West Lyon will be taking part on Saturday.
Saturday will also feature Show Choir competition, with Sioux Center featuring two of their high school’s show choirs in that competition.
