Sewer Rate Study On Council Agenda

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sewer Rate study will be on the agenda when the Sheldon City Council meets this Wednesday, September 6th.  Earlier this year the Council commissioned DGR Engineering of Rock Rapids to conduct a comprehensive study to determine the revenue requirements and recommended rates which will cover the cost of service for the City wastewater utility.  This was brought on by the need to make major improvements in the wastewater system.

In other business the council will consider the final reading of an ordinance to amend the City Zoning Ordinance and also the final reading of an Ordinance to rezone the Prairie Trail Addition.  They will also consider a change order on the Crossroads Pavilion construction,

And, the council will be asked to approve a proclamation by Mayor Katricia Meendering to declare the days of September 5th through 13th to be Sheldon, Iowa 4 Sheldon, Texas, urging all citizens to join in donating items to be sent to our neighbors in Texas.

Wednesday’s Council meeting begins at 4:30 p.m.in the upper level of the Sheldon Community Services Center.
