Sheldon Community School District Rolls Out Smartphone App

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Community Schools have joined the ranks of organizations that have their own smartphone app.

We talked to Sheldon Schools Technology Coordinator Kasey Trampel, and he tells us about the app.

He gives us some details about the different facets of the app.

Trampel says you can download the app by going to the school website at sheldonschools.com. Then, in the bottom right corner, you can just pick the app store for your type of phone. Or, he says you can just open the app store on your phone and search for Sheldon Schools. He says you’ll be able to see which one it is because of the Orabs logo.

In other news from the technology department at Sheldon Community Schools, Trampel says they’ll do the device rollouts for this upcoming school year for the one-to-one technology initiative on Thursday, August 15th. He says parents and students are asked to come in that evening at 5:30 p.m. to pick up their devices.
