Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon Community School District Voters will be deciding whether to pass a bond issue for renovation and expansion at Sheldon High School.
We talked to Sheldon Superintendent Cory Myer, and he tells us what’s being suggested.
Myer says the problem is the facility is starting to show its age.
He says another issue is safety.
If approved, the project would begin about a year from now, says Myer. He says the bonded portion of the cost is projected to be $19 million. Public meetings are planned in September and October to explain the project and its cost. We’ll hear more from Superintendent Myer in future newscasts here on KIWA.
