Sheldon, Iowa — One sure sign that fall is on the horizon is the annual Sportsmen’s Banquet, sponsored by Sheldon’s First Reformed Church.
The 19th annual event will be held Saturday, August 24th at the Crossroads Pavillion Event Center in Sheldon. Shelly Hoogers is one of the organizers of the event. She says it will start with a great barbeque meal.
We asked Hoogers about the goal of the Sportsmen’s Banquet. She says it is not a fundraiser.
She says tickets are available now online, but that will cost you a small convenience fee. You can also stop at First Reformed Church to get your tickets. She emphasizes there are a limited number of seats available.
