Sheldon HS Choirs Bring Home 1st & 2nd From Eburg Extravaganza

Sheldon High SchoolSheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon High School Vocal Music Department brought home one first place, and one second place finish from Saturday’s Emmetsburg Extravaganza held Saturday at Emmetsburg High School.

Sheldon High School Choir Director Brett Gregory says the Emmetsburg Extravaganza was his vocalists’ first time this year competing against other groups.

Gregory says the Sheldon Jazz Choir took 1st place out of four choirs in the Emmetsburg competiton, while the Show Choir finished in 2nd place in a five choir field.  Gregory says both choirs worked hard and had great performances at Saturday’s event.

The next outing for the Show Choir will be March 18th, when they take part in the Hinton Soundsational.  Sheldon’s annual Swing Choir Show, the last community performance for the year, will be Friday and Saturday, March 24th and 25th at Sheldon High School.
